About Me
Hi, I'm Kristin.
Kristin Shirley · Advanced Esthetician
I was born and raised in Reno, Nevada, and I've always been someone who's curious by nature. I enjoy learning, asking questions, and figuring out how things work. Whether I'm traveling somewhere new, tackling a project around the house, or diving into a topic I've never explored before, I genuinely enjoy discovering something new and continuing to grow.
Growing up, I always imagined doing something in the salon industry. My parents, however, were convinced I needed a “real” college degree first. So, I did exactly that. I earned multiple college degrees and spent the first half of my professional life working as a mineral landman for a mining law firm.
Although that career was an important chapter in my life, my curiosity eventually led me back to the path I'd wanted to take all along. Making that leap is one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me spending time with my dogs, riding my horse, planning my next adventure, or working on another home project. I love to travel, experience new places, and I'm always looking for something new to learn.
One of my favorite parts of this profession is getting to know my clients. I genuinely enjoy hearing about their lives, and I remember the stories they share with me. Over time, many appointments begin with, “How was your trip?” “How’s the new puppy?” or “How did your daughter’s wedding go?” I love celebrating life’s big moments with my clients, as well as simply catching up on the everyday ones.
If you spend enough time with me, there's a good chance you'll hear stories about my dogs or my horse… and don't be surprised when I remember your stories too.
